Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2010.

Amazing is my only word to describe this. And, the fact that he used Lady Gaga's new song at the closing of his runway collection show, just makes me want to give him a high five. You don't have to believe me, look for yourself.

HIATUS.

Yes, I have been on one lately. Fortunately for you guys, I believe that I am returning now. So, prepare to be amazed. I have some major changes that I plan on doing to the blog, hope you like them. And, for all of you that have continued to follow my blog despite my unsuspected absence, I love you all!

Kate Moss x YSL.

I have never really been sexually attracted to Kate Moss. Her odd-shaped head has always been a major turn-off to me. However, this commercial is really orgasmic. I have a new found sexual respect for her.

Oh, How It's Been So Long. I'm So Sorry I've Been Gone.

I AM REALLY SORRY! Not only did school start August 10th, 2009, I have also been really busy with overwhelming stress, etc. I am not going to lie, and say that I haven't had free time, because I have. I sit on the computer most frequently. But, I just haven't felt too much like blogging lately. So, I decided to take a much needed hiatus. But, I am back now. And hopefully, for good. Time to get back to some amazing blogging, hopefully.

Favorite New Album.

Although this album came out in 2008,
I am just now being introduced to him.
His name is Sam Sparro, and he's the perfect mix between:
Prince and Benny Benassi. They had gay sex, and had Sam Sparro.
I'd recommend this album to ANYONE! Rating: 9.5/10.

Facebook Streetstyle According to Nylon.

Amerie, Love.

Amerie has been one of my faves for a while now,
Here, I'm not dissapointed. She continues to kill.
The song itself is amazing, has been my fave.
But her outfits in the video are AMAZINGGGG.

MY APOLOGIES!

I have been taking a break, and been on hiatus for a while,
No real reasons why, I just have been stressed, and busy.
But, I am back now, and will be here for a while.

Best Glasses That I've Ever Seen Seen

BET Awards '09.

Ummm, they were amazing in my opinion.
Not my favorite, but amazing in their own right.
I loved the Michael Jackson-themed outfits/performances.
Overall rating: 8/10.

My favorite celebrity couple: Amber Rose & Kanye West.

Cheap Monday Spring/Summer 2010 Collection.

I love the entire collection, but these are some of my favorites:

Hmm, Amazing Much?

So, for those of you who know me, know that I LOVE MGMT.
So, as I was waiting for the Little Boots CD to download,
I decided to watch their music videos, that I always hear about.

And, turns out, the music videos make me appreciate the song SO much more.

1. Time to Pretend, was okay. Not my favorite. The concept of the video didn't really capture the concept of the song that well. But it was entertaining all the same.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVnRzEjpUmE

2. Electric Feel, EVERYONE'S (including mine's) favorite MGMT song. And the concept of the video takes the concept of the song (how you feel when you are high on virtually anything-especially acid) perfectly. So many of my friends say that they feel JUST like that video. Hahah. Btw, I'd love to be at that party!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtUI5MC9tVM

3. Kids, my FAVORITE MGMT video. Sick, twisted, amazing. I feel pretty bad for that permanently traumatized baby. And, the video kind of scared me, because it was so weird!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ad-tgbtbCEM

&, although this isn't an official MGMT video, I LOVE it, made me laugh.

Wow, FINALLY.

Thank God, it's like a month late, but at least it's here.
So, I am going to go to UrbanOutfitters this weekend, and check it out.

Kanye West on men.style.com

Okay, so on my daily visit to men.style.com,
I came across something that made my eyes POP.
My style/inspiration icon, Kanye West's 10 Essentials.
The 10 Essentials is a ongoing thing for men.style.com,
featuring different celebrities, but finally, YEEZY.

So, this was his list. . .
1. Heather-Gray Balmain T-Shirt
-I love the heather gray t-shirt style. But, unfortunately I can't afford Balmain, so I settle for my American Apparel one, which I wear religiously. I agree with Kanye about it being a good addition to any outfit.

2. Black Air Yeezy
-Of course Kanye would feature these shoes, since he designed them (but where are his LV's?). But, I HATE these shoes. They are hideous, burning to my eyes, actually. I don't understand everyone's fascination with these tearjerking eyesores, but whatever. To each their own.

3. Dark Brown RRL Jeans in Slim Boot Cut
-Ehh, I have seen better jeans before. I don't like boot cut, because I feel uncomfortable without skinnies=/. Lmfao. And, the color is kind of not attractive, but I guess they are very "utilizing" as Kanye claims.

4. iPod Nano, iPhone, Macbook Air w/ Aircard
-An iPod of ANY kind is necessary. But my choice is an iPod touch, but if Kanye chooses a nano, that's his choice. I just wonder how a music-lover such as himself fits all that onto a nano. iPhone's are amazing, but I can't picture myself with one. And, being the only MacBook without a webcam, I would never recommend a MacBook Air, even though it does weigh like 0.5 an ounce.

5. Vintage Levi's Jean Jacket
-Any fashion-lover knows that jean jackets (or jean anything for that matter) is this year's comeback trend. They have been popping up on runways and resort collections everywhere. I had one, that I eagerly gave away 2 years ago (for thoughts of its never-returning trendiness), that I wish I had now. However, I am looking for a nice thrifted one EVERYWHERE.

6. Blacked-Out Rolex Submariner
-This watch is pretty dope, and expensive, haha. I am a fan of Rolex's, but because I am not Kanye West, I will stick to investing into a white G-shox. Haha.

7. Calvin Klein Boxer Briefs
-I LOVE Calvin Klein Underwear (he has an individual brand for underwear for you know-nothings). The cotton is so soft, I have like 2 v-necks and 2 boxers from there, because designer underwear is not the first thing I am trying to buy to live high-fashion. And, I wear boxer breifs quite frequently. But I switch between breifs and regular boxers interchangeably.

8. Lanvin Seersucker Dinner Jacket
-Ummm? This dinner jacket is not ugly. But nowhere near an "essential" item. It is quite unattractive in my opinion. But, maybe I don't see it's potential for an outfit. It might actually work quite well as the finishing touch to a whole ensemble, who knows?

9. Louis Vuttion Monogramouflage Keepall
-Another "DUH" item for Kanye West. As I was approaching the end of the list, I was wondering where I would see a LV item. Because any Kanye fan knows of his undying love for Louis Vuitton (he interned there, and made a shoe collection for LV for Christ's sake). I actually like this bag. The camoflauge look is sooooooo UN-high-fashion that it just SCREAMS high-fashion. I also agree that it just looks cool, a 5 year old would want that. This is definitely a standout for LV.

10. Retro Super Future Flat-Top Sunglasses
-What to say about these babies? YES. Wayfarers are the most popular glasses for any man OR woman this summer, and the one of the trend's forefathers was Kanye West. Although most wayfarers look the same, soemthing about these scream uniqueness. I love them. Marry me?

WTF.

NYLON LOVES NIKE high top Air Trainers.
I am going to get the baby blue and lime green.

But, does anyone know when these are coming out?
The expected release date was supposed to be June 1,
at Urban Outfitters? Am i right? Correct me if i'm not.

New Shoesssssss,

okay, so, lately, my mom has been riding my back,
every morning: "Eww, those shoes are SO raggedy!"
and, kept telling me that she would buy me new shoes.
So, tomorrow, I am going to get my first new pair.

I am going to purchase high-top white Converse.
i had been thinking of what to get, and these came to mind.
high-top Converse went out of style about 3-4 years ago,
but lately, they have been popping up on runways like CRA,.ZY.
so, i am going to buy these babies for about $40.

baby, don't worry 'bout it.

okay, so, as i am sure everyone knows,
the paranoid video by kanye west was leaked.
and, the lucky star for the video: my future babymama, RIHANNA!

i think putting rihanna in here was good for both of them,
the video will get success because rihanna is a sex symbol,
and it is good for rihanna, because the concept is good for the CB drama.

anyways, here it is:

oh wow,

last published on: May 19, 2009.
that was what, 10/11 days ago?
that is WAY too long, but sorry.
i have been swamped in end-of-the-year projects,
and probably won't be posting much for the next 1.5 weeks.
i will STILL be doing projects, and studying for finals.
but after June 10, 2009: i am going to try to post daily.

anyways, EVERYONE should listen to this album:
it is amazing, collaborations, lyrics, concepts.
i give this album a 9.5/10, pretty good, ehhh?
my two favorite songs are Gifted, and Whachadoin?

The Spirit of Apollo by N.A.S.A.

Un-nameable.

Lately, I have been on a CD-downloading spree!
I think I have an addiction, I literally can't stop.
And, what I have noticed is:
I listens to many bands with an un-nameable genre,
usually in iTunes labeled as "alternative" or "electronic".

Here are some of those un-nameable genre CDs, that I love.

Crystal Castles by Crystal Castles. Rating: 8.5/10

Inspiration #2

I was on lookbook.nu, when I came across this look.

All I could say was: PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT.

This look inspires me in SO many different ways.
I don't have enough time in the world to list them.
But #1, I love the rolled up sleeves/shorts look.
And, the two-tone color matching is very creative.
I am going to try an interpretation of this outfit sometime.
I will post it when I do it.

Nightly Inspiration, 5/14.

So, I have been off the internet for a while.
My internet was broke, and plus, I have been logged down in homework.
But, I am now, kinda sorta back and ready for business.

After my homework was done, I turned on some Justice and went to lookbook.
My head was filled with inspiration, and my finger couldn't stop clicking 'hype'.

Here is some of my inspiration:

Saturday, 5/09/09.

okay, so today has been an absolute wreck, and i'm bored at home for the rest of the night. first, i was supposed to go yard sale shopping in venice beach with my two bestfriends: lauren and gabriella, because my mom just happened to be driving into los angeles today. but, my mother decided that she didn't want to stay in l.a. that long after her hair was done to wait for me to finish shopping. so, i was pretty pissed off about that. but, "luckily" i had my backup plan of going to my friend torrey's dinnerparty at victoria gardens and then to the movies afterwards. i thought fershure (since she ruined my original plans) she would let me go. but NO, that lady had the nerve to say that she was tired. oh well, this is what i will be doing for the rest of the night: absolutely nothing.

Why Is Your Shirt Tucked In?

Today: Tuesday, May 5, 2009, I wore what I believed to be a fantastic outfit. It was a repeat of Sunday's with a change of shorts, since I didn't do anything on Sunday. I decided to wear it with my white Forever21 above-the-knee rigid shorts instead of the cargos. And, I kept the vneck tucked in. Some people (mostly females) went gaga over my outfit, while others asked questions such as "Why the fuck is your shirt tucked in?" I really don't like people's close-mindedness to fashion. Rancho Cucamonga is REALLY behind the boat, more than I thought. I want to go back to Los Angeles, CA. If I get a chance to go back, trust me bitches, I'm gone.

What He Wore 5/03

this is actually YESTERDAY's outfit, as you can see from the date.
anyways, i didn't do much, just went on a walk, but i felt really high-fashion.
and, as some of you know, i don't have a camera, so i used my webcam.

Marc By Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 Mens

I really like this season's runway looks from Marc by Marc Jacobs.

These are my top 3 favorites:

However, Marc Jacobs himself, had a horrible look:

I have really never been into that Scottish polka-skirt look.
Please Marc Jacobs, you are my favorite designer. Don't do this.

Soundtrack To My Life.

so, some of you know of my dying love for Chester French,
and this album totally fucking completes my whole life.

The Suspense Is Killing Me.

Current Song: Metanoia by MGMT

I'm A Tad Bit Late on This.

NYLON LOVES NIKE
Don't be surprised to see me at UrbanOutfitters on June 1 kiddies.
I'll probably cop the blue ones and the green ones.

Jeffrey Campbell Hurache

okay, so i was online window-shopping today
(putting my wanted items into my bag on urbanoutfitters.com)
when, all of a sudden: I CAME ACROSS THE MOST AMAZING SHOES!
i literally almost fainted off my computer chair.
however, i saw them in brown, and can only find them in black.

The Jeffrey Campbell Hurache

okay, unfortunately, they are $110, and im broke.
but, they will be bought as SOON as i get some money.
this is the PERFECT summer shoe, that i have only dreamed of.
i have really been liking the leather strappy look for women,
but never thought anything would come out like that for men,
(and continue to look fairly manly)
but, BAM! the Jeffrey Campbell Huraches, my dream's shoe.
find them, but DON'T BUY them (unless for me) here.

i am also a huge fan of Jeffrey Campbell's heels,
but i was not aware that he did made men's shoes until today.
i will be on the lookout from now on for future men's items from him.

Los Osos Stylistas =)

okay, so i live in Rancho Cucamonga,
its style-level is somewhat bad, but not horrible.
however, our Black crowd really tries to displease me.
some of us males try, but females fall far below the boat.
but, two girls, Shyanne and Bree, make me smile.
they brighten my day with American Apparel t-shirts.
thank you, for putting these Rocawear-wearing shits to shame.
=)

new-old movies.

so, friday was boring, but fun.
i got to see two movie that i reall enjoyed.

first; i watched: First Sunday.

This movie was HILARIOUS.
I LOVE Katt Williams, so Lord knows I was gonna enjoy it.
Lines such as: "It is hotter than the devil's toenails in here."
And others such as: "If you don't stop, I'm gonna beat you so hard the Jesus himself is going to have to come off the cross to save you!"
... Just made the movie pure comedy.

next; i watched: Breakfast at Tiffany's.

This movie is a very old classic, that I have been dying to see.
Tonight (thanks to Sydney) I was able to witness its amazingness.
It is a nice look into 60s Hepburn, and New York City highlife.

Fridays? Spent at home? Let's watch a movie.

music.

because of my broken iPod,
and absence of a laptop for 2 weeks,
i have been delayed on music.
but, here's what i'm REALLY digging right now:

I know I'm a bit late on this mixtape,
but I am JUST now finding out that he had one.
Anyways, I abasolutely love it.
It's amazing, an EVERY single meaning of the word.
Kid Cudi is a very strong rapper, and deserves to rep Kanye.

Okay, Ezra informed me of Chester French.
I decided to check them out today.
They sure as hell did NOT dissapoint.
There are lyrics are fun, yet meaningful.
I love their upbeat tempos, and the remixes are fantastic.

sheesh louise,

i always manage to get myself grounded,
and have my laptop confiscated,
which: (of course) prevents me from blogging.
for fucking weeks at a time.
=(
i'm gonna try and stay frequent this time though.

Inspiration.

Due to my frequent visits to LOOKBOOK.nu and my frequent "oohs" and "aahs" over certain outfits, and my lacklust blog, I decided to start a new segment on my blog called "Inspiration". This will feature a picture of a particular outfit that I saw on lookbook, as well as a description, how it inspires me and any links to that person. I hope this does well.

Inspiration #1:

This is Kadeem. This look features a high school cardigan, plain v-neck, tribal necklace, skinnies, and a fedora.

This look is very simple, yet the longness of the cardigan seems to liven the look up. I love the wash and color of the vneck, as well as the almost, yet not exact color contrasting to the cardigan. I am a fan of fedoras, but they make me mad on some people either because their heads look fucking ridiculous in them, or the outfit doesn't call for one. I think this fedora fits in perfectly though. I made a promise to myself to find that necklace too. =)

Link to his lookbook: http://lookbook.nu/user/30489-Kadeem-J
